Support at Home software in FlowLogic: one platform, end-to-end

FlowLogic Support at Home dashboard showing quarterly allocations, claims and statements connected on one platform

Quarterly budgets, claiming, statements and invoice splitting, connected inside the aged care software you already use. Here’s what that means for the day-to-day.

The Support at Home program has changed how Australian aged care providers track funding, lodge claims, generate statements and split invoices. For most operations teams, that’s meant new spreadsheets, new reconciliation steps, and new ways for things to go wrong at end of month.

We took a different approach.

Rather than bolt on a separate “Support at Home module,” we extended the parts of FlowLogic you already use, allocations, service items, claims, statements, so the program runs natively alongside everything else your organisation delivers. It’s an evolution of the platform, not a feature launch.

Here’s what that looks like in practice.

Quarterly budgets that reconcile themselves

The Support at Home funding model is more granular than Home Care Packages. Quarterly budgets, classification levels, supplements, MSO percentage, rollover handling, and separate allocations for Home Modifications, Assistive Technology, HCP Unspent Funds, Restorative Care and End of Life pathways.

In FlowLogic, every one of those allocations is live. Spent and Remaining balances calculate automatically. Classification rates, Care Management 10%, supplements (Veterans, EFB, EFNB, Oxygen), MSO percentage and rollover are handled by Formula Fields, not by your finance team rebuilding spreadsheets every quarter.

The quarterly rollover happens automatically. Your team sees each client’s position against each funding bucket in real time, in one place, fully aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards for record-keeping and transparency.

Claims that arrive pre-populated

Lodging claims through the Aged Care Provider Portal shouldn’t be a CSV scavenger hunt at end of month.

FlowLogic uses default service items to pre-fill Care Management and Support at Home funding claims, so claims arrive ready to review rather than ready to type. When end of month rolls around, a single bulk CSV exports every claim, formatted exactly to government requirements and ready to lodge via the Funding Exchange.

Refunds, reductions, credits and timing corrections go through a clean Adjustments form, so corrections never require rewriting historical billing. Every claim and adjustment is captured against its source form, with a full audit trail.

Branded monthly statements, generated in bulk

Statements are how your clients see their funding position. They need to look like your organisation, use your terminology, and reach your entire client base on time.

In FlowLogic, monthly statements are generated from Word templates you fully customise (your branding, your layout, your language) and populated live from the platform. Each statement includes opening and closing balances per allocation, charges and claims for the period, Care Management time billed, adjustments, and HCP unspent balances where relevant.

End-of-month statement created and shared in a single bulk action, and you can opt to review and edit statements after creation on an individual basis, giving you flexibility to share truly individualised statements. Your entire client base, produced at once.

Invoice splitting that just works

Support at Home introduced category-driven client contributions, which means every funding claim now needs to be split between the government-funded portion and the client contribution portion. Most providers manage that with a spreadsheet, a reconciliation step, and a quiet prayer at end of month.

FlowLogic does it automatically. Service items are tagged with their category-driven contribution percentages, and every claim splits as it’s recorded. The government-funded portion flows into the bulk CSV export to the Aged Care Provider Portal. The client contribution exports separately, ready to ingest into Xero or MYOB.

One transaction. Two destinations. Zero reconciliation.

Built on foundations that scale beyond Support at Home

All of the above runs on four foundational capabilities that already power broader workflows in FlowLogic:

  • Formula Fields automate Care Management, supplements, rollover, available funding and quarter-to-date balances.
  • Default Service Items auto-populate and auto-calculate billables on every funding claim.
  • Repeating Records carry quarterly allocations forward automatically.
  • Bulk Word Templates generate statements, agreements and correspondence at scale.

These same foundations already power broader workflows in FlowLogic, which means Support at Home isn’t a single-program build. It’s part of a platform designed to scale across the programs your organisation delivers, today and tomorrow.

Support at Home is reshaping how aged care providers run their operations. You can run it with more spreadsheets, more reconciliation steps and more end-of-month risk, or you can run it in one platform that handles every part natively.

If you’d like to see how FlowLogic would configure for your provider profile, we’d be glad to walk you through a tailored setup. Classifications, allocations, claims to Aged Care Provider Portal, invoices, statement templates, mapped to your terminology and your operation. Most providers see the full workflow in one focused session. No commitment required.
